Never been to that particular yard but the ones I have had a 2x2 attached to the top extending from the front and were used at night. I can get a barrel for 10.00 or build a pen for about 25 give or take how's that the poor man's route

Just fyi to who that may not know for the ridge use 2 2x4 like an upside down T works perfect for angle of plywood and strength for attaching plywood. Screw a 2x2 on the top a foot or so longer than the teepee extending from front and there u go

i see some cut the roost sloping down on an angle so they don't get hung up with the cord. That's the most important part I guess. Don't wanna come home to tangled up birds.

makes sense to me. May try out that Mel sims on one cause he is taking up pen space. I don't mind keeping him but just getting close to his pen and he's unloading on the wire. Trying to prevent him from tearing up his feet. Tie cord is the only way I see. I believe out of any I have he has the best shot at fighting off a hawk.

Peacock wouldn't leave the ruble I posted earlier alone. Finally he had enough and sent the peacock packing. Wouldn't let up until he ran out of cord. Lol

Hey now I got a question about where to anchor the tie cord? I suppose just enough to get to about the middle of the roost but not go around the teepee. Especially since it'll be open on both sides.
I was thinking about winter use and putting a perch on the inside but can't picture how they wouldn't get tangled going over the other side of a perch on the inside and still have enough slack in the cord to get on the perch on the inside.
I'm guessing for me it would be a 3 season use teepee.

Once I get a teepee all set up for him I'm gonna need someone to feed him for me. Any takers?
