Has anyone ever used acidified copper sulfate in minute amounts to keep water bowls/cups free of algae? I clean mine often but they still get a little. I know it's used to treat fungal and mold infections in the intestines. Just curious.

No but.I used bleach before I think a half teaspoon per gallon

I use copper sulfate as an algacide. Exposure duration or concentration needs to be increased. Algae in water bowls unsightly but does not appear associated with health issues for me.
