RIP little Blue,

Found him deceased in the feed barrel.. apparently he jumped in and couldn't get out. Heat was probably the killer.

sure hate to hear that ive been so lucky have not lost any stags or pullets this year just some young chicks...

your losing good birds my man. If I were you I'd switch to a plastic trash can with a lid. I use a few of em and keep the lids on to prevent them from getting into it but mainly from sh*tting in it.

I know it sucks losing good birds, and even worse that I only had 1 blue left.

I use a cardboard drum typically used in the food industry, and I have a lid, I just didnt put it on yesterday. Lesson learned.

I have to use a galvanized trash can I tried the rubber/plastic polypropylene but these swamp rats chewed straight through them. And the outside cats can only eat so many

Yes sir. 32% protein. Works so good after the molt they grow in two tails. Lol
