Where I live, I wouldn't dare take a stranger on a tour to show them what I have. I would be afraid I would come home to all of my valuable birds GONE !! And I don't even own "performing" games. Just some pullets that I hope will become broodies.

That happened to us. We lost 90% of our big flock after I took someone on a tour. Lost 3 Emus as well. so not in a good mood at all this year. I had planned on starting up a special flock of our big breed birds and now they are all gone. Less money in my pocket this year after that happened so it's a good thing I had some down here at the old place, otherwise the whole flock would be gone. Roughly I lost about $40,000 worth of birds, and that doesn't include how much money I lost from selling chicks, and fertile eggs. So now it's back to the drawing board, and having to selectively pick which ones to breed together for what I will be needing over the next few years.

As for games I would not advise just going up to many of the breeders. Around here hubby has found a few game breeders, however the law is usually watching from not to far away if you get my drift.

Wow thats a bummer... I would be devestated.

I was lucky enough that my neighbor was a cocker who gifted me my starting flock of games. I also befriended another cocker after seeing his ad on craigslist... I just went to look at his birds (with the intention of buying one, even tho I didnt have money) and he spend hours talking to me about them... now he wants to give a breeding pair.

Man who y'all dealing with? If every bird was stolen tonight I'd have a fresh yardfull by dark tomorrow. Without spending a dime
