Heck yeah! I have 8 stags from Jan-Feb hatches that either have a full tails with streamers or almost. One of the Albany/Hatch stags came straight comb, pearl legs, and black spurs. He could pass for a pure dark red Claret. The mother is a pure Hatch, straight comb, and blue legs, one other stag (brother) came pearl legs, black spurs, but pea comb. I have 6 of these stags, then I have 5 pure Bennett grey stags that are definitely keepers, 3 of them still need a little more tail to grow. I gave my nephew his choice of a pair of Bennett greys. SDM I remember you saying that you didn't know the make up of your greys, I know several (2 in particular) old timers that if you was to ask them how one was bred or what bloodline one of there Hatch or Greys were they would get ****** and quit talking to you. So, I learned to listen more than to ask.

My very first ever introduction to game chickens was with an old, old man that was one of the "don't ask I don't tell" types. Old man Abe Saba really big around me. I never was offered any of his birds and asked for eggs and he said he'd sell to me for 100 a dozen and I thought no way. Well I've come a long way and now I know that was not a bad deal lol. But like I said though as when I knew nothing. I think a lot of it is now that the game is outlawed the only thing left is a name back in the day people was hush hush, why would u want to give up your possible winning mix. Nowadays cause of the same reason (outlawed) people either want to know their birds are real cause of all the dunghill birds out there or want to know their makeup cause they can't go to a pit and talk to Anyone. If that makes Since. Guess that's one of my hard to say what I mean times lol
