that last picture of him flapping really shows off his height and station. Too bad he is molting. I Bet he looks cool all white with black spots. That hen is very beautiful and looks big. Is she related to the rooster?
Yes she is related in somewhere down the line not to sure how close..

The father of a lot of my birds. He lived till 13 and was a good cock. Just couldn't outlast one son.

His last son and a couple of his daughters. As far as I know these are the last birds you will ever see from him. The Grey and Spangled were by far the best he ever produced but both were lost to a fox as well as a couple other he sired.

Hi everyone. I live on a ranch with my boyfriend. Over twenty years ago a man dropped off multiple truck loads of game chickens off on the ranch, told my bf not to feed them or do anything for them and they will survive. And they have. Mostly living in the horse barn. Picking thru horse poop and scattering it (which is why my bf agreed to have them) .
Well since I have arrived I cooped a bunch of them up and have been making lots of babies
I have all variety of colors, from white to black to gray to red...
This last go round I somehow made a blue chick. I have never seen a chick hatch this color from these birds before. It is just Killing me that I do not know which chickens are the parents. It is a beautiful baby.
So what I am asking here is if anyone has ever seen a baby like this and if anyone knows what it may grow up to look like.
I also have pics of all parents in case someone wants to help me make more!
Thank you.
Btw I am aware that keeping all the game colors together over the years has messed with their 'proper' coloring and conformation but that's okay, these are ranch chickens not show chickens.

Gamefowl are fun , they have a way of getting into your blood .... lol . On colors i would say that whatever is genetically in your birds will come out eventually ..... in other words 'blue bred in - blue will pop out' .... it might be along time before it happens but it will . Blue blood(no pun) was in some of your original game chickens ...........
Enjoy your games

Thank you for responding, I appreciate it.
I Think I figured it out! I hatched another one today and a lightbulb went off. Since I only have two of these, and I have like thirty others I realized it was the hen I Wasn't trying to hatch eggs from. She lays the biggest eggs so I was eating them.I didn't think she was that 'pretty' so I didn't include hers in the clutches.
Her name is Nasty, because when I first moved to the ranch she was almost naked, but had patches of feathers and just looked terrible.
The Roo, I hatched last spring. I was told we never had a gray one like him and I thought he was beautiful.
Let me know what you guys think. Do you like my games? I am only 99% sure they are 'American' games, but after looking at the other game breeds I feel they fit best into this category.

I love these birds so much. I have quite a few other breeds, but these guys have a special place in my heart.
