That whitehackle cross stag I showed above has like a milky white and the Kelso hen is like zero pigment white. And before u get all technical centra that's the best way I can splain it with my basic self. Lol

Good grow out for 7mo must be the freerange.

In hand it is easy to tell they are not filled out. Feathering on that guy came in a little faster than average and he cocked out at only 5 lbs 8 oz. He was also on the plus side of 7 months which does make a difference. Most are a little slower and all require a solid 16 to 18 months to reach full frame and weight with that having to take place in pens. I has been a long-time since I allowed full maturation free-range but the feathering is hard to beat with such birds. I think the total free-range makes for better feathers that even tie-cording. Nutrition.

It has been a while but my brother had some white-legged birds that seem to be a variant on the blue. I also have seen the pink-legged but all examples where older than the hills. I was wandering if the white becomes pink with age.

The father of the flarry eye cross chick i'm raising has white legs. The two hens with him have blue
And the chick I'm raising has blue

Best of both worlds for you havoc. Disclaimer: pics pulled from the net I am not in any way connected or affiliated with fowl pictured below, Thankyou.

This is the mess you get when you cross games with regular breeds. This cowboy likely has some dom in him. ( not done by me)
