I got a slight sunburn this weekend... mid 80s. perfect dry heat with a slight breeze. 10/10 weekend. I was busy planting fig trees, grape vines and some olive trees.

No new game photos...

Sorry to hear about all the snow and stormy weather.

i will be too. That's the thing it still gets pretty hot here too. I'm thinking I don't like it here anymore. Actually never did.

first politically incorrect roundhead egg YES!
You could always come down this way we got all the chickens fishing hunting mosquitoes heat and humidity you'd ever want. Flypen will prolly even let u shoot hogs for free lol. Oh And a side of hurricanes.

Well now I got two chickens in the house. Dumb rooster with my egg laying flock obviously likes to dunk his wattles in the water bowl. Now he is a ballchinian Frostbite pretty good I feel like **** dr Doolittle.

Snow a lot less than called for with only 4". Not a single bird flew off roost pole to go after morning feeding. They were slow to come down for PM feeding.

Single hen on top of pen would only approach me by wing and did everything she could to stay off the snow. She even tried to land on dog.

Free-range birds based around house would not venture out any further than needed to get water. Sub-zero temperatures coming and feed intake until then likely will be lower than needed to maintain weight. I think this may serve some adaptive purpose.

congrats on the birds laying. Heat and humidity ain't sounding so bad anymore. Although I still will pass on the Hurricanes. Supposed to get about 6 inches of snow tonight and into tomorrow morning. May stay home and whine about it some more.

Thanks here's a couple pics from my sister in western ky.
