Funny I have never herd of a woodcock. Interesting little creatures.

I have seen an increase in road runners running across my property. Look like racing chickens.

Let me tell u about woodcocks. They will scare the crap out of u as you walk through tall grass on a quiet morning hunt. All of a sudden about 20 take off out the grass yeah almost make u pass out

I hunt them sometimes. It's not easy. Them things take off so quick and fly so erratically. Definately frustrating. I use the skins for tying flies ain't a lot of meat on those little birds.

notice though that I use as much of the animals as possible. You should take a Hunter Ed course in CA. Ya never know you might enjoy it. I'll show you a pic of a woodcock skin later when I get home. Lol

I am using two lengths of thin wall PVC for my sleeping perches... do you guys think that I should replace it with a wood perch?
