I believe centra is more educated on the oldest gamefowl, most the pea comb fowl had some degree of asil bred in them. I'm not stupid I have raised gamefowl since the early 80s and still have 4 of original bloodlines that I started with. I know 100% of what it took to make everyone of them 50, 60 years some older. I can take one side of any family and genetically reproduce him/her in 9 single matings making it over 99% pure to the original side. and get off the red white and blue I'm proud to be American

I never sai anything bad about usa. Im proud american from Tennessee! And u cant argue with fact that all chickens dna have asil in there makeup dont care how u cross them. Asil is the oldest recorded domesticated bird recorded known to man 3500 years. All gamefowl baseline has asil blood. Period. Dont believe me look it up. I wasnt trying to be a jerk but your response to mine wasnt pleasant.I didnt mean any offense before.

fairly sure most are aware of that. It doesn't matter though. We're mainly about what is now referred to as American gamefowl. Obviously most lines have oriental blood in em. They are still known as American gamefowl.

I just don't understand why come to a American gamefowl tread and always talking down on them. I have a great deal of pride in what I have and where they originally came from and they are 100% game to the bone!

That is not entirely correct. Aseels most certainly have a long historical record and figure prominently in many meat, ornamental and even some current game breeds but they are not likely the ancestor of what is known as English, Irish and Spanish games that dominate the makeup of current American Games. The DNA data is not yet out there but I am betting it will be found the European / Bankovid Games are at least as old as the Aseel lines. The problem is the keepers of the former either did not keep as many records or records were lost during the multiple social upheavals that occurred over the millenia. Key to this logic for me is the Aseel type games are a lot more different from the ancestral jungle fowls upon which all chickens are based than the Bankovid games are. It is not likely that something as odd as an Aseel could be selected from wild jungle then selected back towards they Bankovid type.
