I responded as well only to find out later that vet or someone of similar training was simply advertising to do surgeries or even more so to sell birds previously modified. I could smell what he was up to early but took a while before he started the actual peddling.

I understand for some people with neighbors close by there could be some issues with incessant crowing.
I love hearing the crowing early in the morning. They all are crowing back to roosters crowing in the distance. That's the one question I get asked constantly " doesn't all the crowing bother you?" I just look at them like they are nuts. Music to my ears. Although like I've said before the sound guinea hens drives me up a wall.

I have close neighbors as far as I know they don't mind. I was talking to one the other day and asked if he heard less crowing since I sold about 8 stags/cocks and he said he doesn't even notice the crowing anymore

They're loud when they alert
Yes they are. Especially with as many as I got. It's deafening. They calm down quick though when I walk out there. Usually as soon as they hear my voice they start to settle right down. Now if I could get them to stop sounding the alert every time a dove or flicker flies by I would be in business.

Getting ready to play musical chickens. Need some more pens and I don't feel like building any its too hot.
