Lol yeah it's all about compromise. Gonna sell em or give em away. Got til the end of the week. For some reason people seem to like them. Although I still have to catch the female. She jumped in my face as soon as I grabbed her. Felt like a kick from Bruce lee.

So i finally was able to find someone that would sale me a trio localy. I found the guy on craigslist. he even gave me two quail sized hens and four chicks all of different breeds of american gamefowl. The rooster is suposed to be sweater. the lighter colored hen is 3/4 sweater 1/4 grey the other hen is suposed to be hatch. imtried to post a few pics last night and itmdidnt work out formsome reason so im givin it another shot this morning.

Im not too impressed with the rooster to be honest. He is pretty quiet compared to the rooster in my avatar. the one hen that has a lighter colored body and a little bit shorter neck than the other hen. I dont like it when american gamefowl have longer necks. It makes them look like theyve been crossed with asil or something foreign. just not my style thats all. i found a few little things i needed to fix so the quail sized hen cant get out. Im gonna put her in her own pen this afternoon. The trio seems to leave her alone so i may just leave her in there but i dont want her to disturb the other hens. I want them to lay eggs and sit on them theirselves so i dont need to use my incubator at all. So let me know what you guys think.

Yeah, lol, I miss my Marion Rose chickens, but i had someone guiding me in the breeding of them, so it was awesome.
Here are the asil grey crosses, I even got a partriage hen out of the mix.

Here are three that somebody gave me, (the black hens came feather picked)

With these, it's mostly breeding for appearences. I've never had black game chickens before this year. I like that little red pullet though.

Id move the pullet (quail size hen) out of the coop so she doesnt get injured or mated too early.

I like the looks of the hatch and pullet. Im guessing the hatch (dark legs) has the long neck.. I like long necks.

I hope the rooster works out.... see how he behaves around other roosters. In the presence of another rooster, he should puff up and act cocky.

2nd hatch. Also in order of size.
I'll try and get pictures of the 3rd if I move them soon. Moms a beast and doesn't like me getting to close. Lol.

Lucky You .... nice birds .... female side of blacks usually a lot darker than the roosters - most of roosters will be a brown red color .
What do you have/or had of the Marion Rose birds ? I have some Marion Rose Hatch .
