Seems like there is quite a range on the birds.  I like some of the smaller birds, but they have to be properly proportioned.

Agreed, I have tried the flour and it makes a mess more than anything else.  I think there are some coagulant powders available, but I have not tried them.
Blood stop works better than flour, especially when a bird knocks it's spur off

Changed out another 5 roofs. Supposed to rain all day tomorrow. Looks like I'll be getting a few bales of straw on Thursday.

Was that fat straight comb a squirter havoc
Nah but I left a slight hump and made another cut then it bled. Flour didn't help but the cold wet rag and pressure then blood stop powder worked pretty good. I have a pic of immediately after but I won't post it. Not that much blood at all. Bleeds a lot more when a spur comes off at the leg.

I have a Vietnamese buddy that swears by putting tobacco on it after dubbing. He's got some different ideas. He also told me to use banana leaves for my pen coverings. "Sure no problem I'll just run right out to the store and pick me up a bunch"

I got into reading a lot about banana trees I wanted to line my front yard with them and if I read right one 4 foot or so young one when planted only takes 8no to be full grown then in the spring a lot of juveniles pop up out the ground from the roots of the original tree. That's why usually u see a bunch of trees in a small spot like clumps. The original tree dies and it just multiplies each year.

Then I wanted agave but that's not conducive to my weather
