Yeah I am not perfect and use terms interchangeably. Like "Hatch" to describe "green leg BBR". 

I keep different size, shape and weights. Gamefowl and my yard vary tremendously. I keep variations on purpose so I have options on which direction I want to breed. I have Powerful Heavy Birds and then I have a smaller flying birds, but most are in between and balanced. 

If I wanted to breed for something specific I could do it because of the variations I keep.

But I do appreciate the guys who made the bloodlines. I would like the same if I had spent my life perfecting/maintaining a specific gamefowl breed.

Most tend to refine and move forward. Your getting rid of the tire and going back to the wagon wheel. And no you can't use that name for your fowl it's already taken.

Your not actually buying "names" your buying ability. The name just simplifies the whole ten page essay to describe the birds.

I have the most "modern" tires to date. Im not the one talking about old timer bloodlines that are inbred to maintain "purity". Thats wagon wheel talk.

And Centra is opposite of what I am saying.. he is all about breeding a homozygous flock.

What your saying is that you can breed better birds or just as good as the well known strains we have today?
Maybe you can. The thing is your starting with a helluva advantage they've done 3/4 of the work for ya. I bet your all for participation trophies ain't ya? Haha

I do agree though shubin that a backyard breeder can do a better job at caring for and paying close attention to the birds they own over some huge farm. Over time some quality control must start to sag a little. Especially when money is the driver.

I just wanted to share a couple of my guys...no, they are not a specific bloodline, they are just my ranch birds and they dont leave the property
