Oh I forgot to tell ya, the little butcher/grey stag that got caught in the wrong pen is alive and going to be fine minus a hole in the back of his head and neck. A little medicine for him I think he'll be good as new. They have a strong heart and a strong will to live, (The Gamecock).

That's good to hear. Tough birds. Amazing creatures that command respect.

dogs don't kill out of hunger its the movement they respond to that's why they don't eat them

Which imo if they ate them at least it wasn't
for nothing

He ate them both...whole...feathers, feet, beaks and all...nothing left but just a few feathers! He also caught a squirrel a few days b4 that...it ran within his reach and within 30 second he had eaten the whole thing tail and all! He didn't even check to see if it was dead first! The dog was mental, untrainable too! Believe me i have his father that is the best dog ive ever owed...a great farm dog! Wont mess with my chickens at all! He caught one once...didnt hurt it, let it go when I told him to drop it and hasnt chased one since! His son got scratch on the forehead when he was a puppy! The wound healed over but swelled up real big with a pocket of infection! That was when my neighbor had the puppies and she had just gotten surgery to remove a hunk of her leg that had MRSA, so i took the puppy just to fix his wound! Lanced it, drained it several times a day and kept it clean until it healed and sorta just got stuck keeping him but he would not "learn" anything i tried to teach him! I honestly think the infection gave him brain damage...i always said he had frontal lobe damage cuz he would just do the same things over and over even if he got hurt doing them!
