I know of several people that feed the rocking rooster, I can't get it around here but I can get the black rooster.
I literally could walk to a feed store near my house. Problem is they are very expensive and their feed sucks. It's old and been sitting forever. I bought from them once. Never again. There is another place that's a little further away that started carrying the rocking rooster. When I get time I'm gonna ask her if she will carry some other gamecock feeds. There aren't many people around here with gamefowl other than bantams and other useless varieties. Not really sure it will be worth her trouble or cost wise.

Can't hatch frozen eggs.
400
gotta get em before they hit the ground

I went to my feed store to get them to order from a mill that they already used for other feeds, since then he has had up his orders because of more people buying the same feed.

SDM, this is an older style formulation, like we used to mix when I was a kid.  Today, most feeds shy away from any type of animal byproducts in the feed...
I thought animal protein was better than plant protein. Especially for some amino acids I can't remember the names of right now

It's still early I may have missed your mark lol

When I fed protrition my birds didn't eat as much that's something I remember along with good feel and plumage. It seems as though now they eat more and "use" less

Oh, I wasn't criticizing. Just making an observation. The animal proteins worked great. We would use blood meal, meat and bone meal, fish meal..., but now with concerns over accidental contamination, some feeds go so far as to advertise they are animal byproduct free.

My wife gives me a little bit of a hard time when I give the birds meat scraps, especially if it is chicken! If we have table scraps, or I clean the bones from a roasted chicken, the birds really go for it.
