The Leiper stag killed a good hen today, needless to say he's on my sh*t list. I moved him to another pen because he had beat the crap out of the Leiper pullet he was with. I stood there and watched them for 20 to 30 minutes, everything was great then a little while later I go back to check on them and he had her laying on her side beat to hell.

That sucks I have a blue that to this day will kill anything I try to put with him. It a ok though he's almost 2

Got 4 more lacy chicks yesterday and 3 blue chicks that were hatched with them for heat. Traded a lacy stag for a lacy pullet so Ill have 3 pair and 1 extra stag plus whatever the chicks are

Lol I just moved 15 out of the brooder to a pen then filled the brooder back up with chicks that hatched yesterday.

Just got back from week long backpacking trip in Sierra Nevada Mountains. 40+ mile loop, reaching 12000ft peaks twice.





And I didnt loose one chicken/chick while I was out!!!!!!!! My dogs are officially cured.
