D*mn birds won't stay off my truck

Stretch the waterhose out to where you can get it easily and shoot them with water a couple times and they'll never get back up there. Trust me, mine had to learn to.

Can anyone suggest something to keep hawks away?

We caught our 1st break, the hawk missed! We had some tough lessons that we learned almost immediately, so the chance to scare the hawk away was greatly appreciated.

We let the chickens out of their tractor and coop when we're home, so the dogs won't come kill them. I just don't think we'll be that lucky again. I've seen something about cd'so, fake owls or crows, shiny stuff, fishing line, and yarn. What has worked? I have no desire to hurt it, or nurse it back to health if it gets caught on something.

only thing that can be done is put your chickens in a bigger covered flight pen ,and those are expensive, , hawks and owls have more rights than we do so our hands are tied ,just do your best to provide cover for them to duck under ,ive heard coyote decoy may keep hawks from diving in because in the hawks mind it may become lunch also ,good luck.

I would rather lose a bird or two than have tin foil, CDs, and fishing line all over the place to hopefully deter a hawk.
Kinda like an owl decoy for pigeons. They don't work for long.
A big shotgun blast full of #4s with a modified choke should do the trick. (Just kidding)

Im never lucky enough to catch a hawk in the act here at my place,im always to faraway ,ive been wondering when id come home to find a hawk done slammed into one of my domes and done his self in .

Finally culled that black the other day. He was getting worse and just tearing himself up. I've got 2 more that may get the axe. I have my son starting to help feed and water and I won't tolerate any bad actors making him afraid.

I usually scream obscenities at them and wave my red adidas hat i always wear at them. Believe it or not the yelling and waving something bright like that distracts them enough to work.

seems like whatever i bred to a toppy ,will show toppy this roo is pure ,i have toppy blues and have a handful of young fowl to rehome i need to make room .
