Finally got a call back. Green Legged Sweater from Alabama, through and through, never crossed, only bred to sell. So I have some 1/2 Radios and 1/2 sweaters in the flock....and apparently I'm a cheating poker player when I'm drunk....coooooool

I don't see how breeding gamefowl into layer breeds help them in any way shape or form. They will lay less eggs, could me more aggressive toward each other etc.. There are good layers out there that do a fairly good job of avoiding predation. Andulusians, anconas. Hell Easter eggers aren't the worst I've seen.
The positives just don't outweigh the negatives.
