My stag in molt
400
nice, u have any more?

good for what you're doing, sad on the other parts. Although I prolly would a gave them 2. There's prolly a loud chick somewhere lol

I can get a lone chick to quite down after about 24 hours. That very issue was addressed on sight. Single chick reduced odds of two males or even one male. Chick will be swapped out if it proves to be a male if need be. Single males very easy to keep and make for downright pets.

Jap quail shubin
yep... Jumbo coturnix I was told... but they dont look jumbo.

I debated getting Valley Quail.. but I read they are bit more wild and need bigger enclosure. And they cost a lot more... $20each... as opposed to $3ea I paid for these

too expensive for potential dog food .lol

I got some variety too... I got a golden male, and some darker colored females (forgot breed)

oh good, at least they know

wow that big...

i wouldnt mind having a some breeders in an avairy.. They live wild around me (obviously) and I have seen a wild pair in my driveway before... and all in the  mountains. I could breed and restock wild populations around me.
Oh no here we go again. You do realize that that's not always a good thing to do and may be illegal. My guess would be the wild ones are far stronger birds than captive birds. I use coturnix quail feathers all the time. I've got a few skins.
Get some prairie chickens and reintroduce them.

lol yeah at one time it was insane the pens I had. Basically two main rows each row 12' deep 60' wide and 5' tall one behind the other. Plus round grow out pens with single cocks and hens, above ground pens and a 20'x40 open pen made out of landscape timbers and 1x4's for a pair of emus. Yeah I know I was young single and a good job. Flood of 1995 ended it all

Now I can barely keep up with 50 grown chickens lol

Blue eared, swinehoe, white crested kalij, copper, silver etc pheasants
