Those wood chips work well as floor?
Yes, they work pretty well. We have wet springs, so it is nice to elevate the floor above ground level. I tried them last year and the with all of the scratching, the birds quickly had them composted. It was still good as it was above ground level so stayed dry.

What do you know about those little dudes?
Not a lot, but I have come to really like them. They are game. By luck I acquired a pair. I was told they were bred by the Flowers family and they liked them dark, although my interest in them was the Blues they would throw. The females come in in the low 2 pounds and the cocks are in the upper 2's. The little guy in the picture is probably around 2:8, although I have not weighed him in a while. Pretty nice to handle although not as quite as SDM's Blues.

I posted some earlier pics and the are deceptively solid little birds. The pic of the stag on the roost is a little longer in the leg, which I think gives him more of an American look. What do you think? I couldn't get a good pick of him standing tall and alert though.

Thanks never seen em before.
You are welcome. The are designed right, just thin. The have a small lip at the bottom edge to prevent the birds from picking and wasting too much feed, although they still try their best. I also liked they had such small hanging feeders which work for a few birds or so.

They look really nice. Are they out off recently working game stock or are they bred for show?
