Had to pen two more today.

I'm going to track the main sources of the lacy and the butcher and buy birds direct. It might be expensive but it has to be done. I have tracked down a name for the butchers. Did u know the Butchers hens about 1/3rd have spurs and about 5% come spangled and the name of the butcher came from there profession as a butcher. I will keep them pure. The straight comb trio is not brother n sister. But peacomb is brother n two sisters.

Very nice reading for sure

Make sure you incorporate the fact that all gamefowl are crosses, and that AGF are still developing to this day to keep up with evolution of the sport and new breeds being developed abroad and here at home.

Not to argue with anybody, but just a rant using a metaphor..
I am not against the conservation of bloodlines, but remember that we dont race 1950's stockcars anymore. If you want vintage that is fine, but expect vintage performance (which may not be able to keep up with today high performance machines).

If you read the history on these famous bloodlines you'll realize that they were producing crosses based on performance. Not keeping pure bloodlines with their names on it...

Just curious what the essay is for? Are you in school? or just for passing on information?

Cool idea regardless

I understand the parents issue. I started raising them at my parents house too.. and my both my parents starting getting mad because I had them free ranging all over the neighborhood and the neighbors hated us for it.... Now I have to deal with my wife hating them. haha

Read this article it is interesting to find out mark marsh. 1962- present son of Phil the second. Mark avid hunter n carp fisherman. Is the one I'm trying to get ahold of. Best part is he is in LAW ENFORCEMENT. Anyways if u want history check this site out
