Same fella decided to make coffee in his blind with the burners that screw onto the little propane tanks while wearing wool looking coveralls. I looked over and it looked like a blow torch shooting out the marsh in the distance
Like a cotton swab on fire. Is that a candidate for the Darwin Award?

Ha. I've seen some nutty stuff.
When it's real cold I'll make a heater out of a coffee can, charcoal briquettes and paper towels soaked in lighter fluid. Prepare the night before, put the lid on. Once I get out there fire it up, once it goes out it barely smokes and keeps your hands toasty warm. Just gotta set the can on a patch of wet marsh grass, inside the boat.
I'll have to remember how to make that heater

Metal or plastic? lol What size can and do you poke any holes in the bottom or side for air movement? Sounds like a great idea!

Never saw a male.  As a kid, I raised wheaton old english game bantams.  Every once and while I would get a sport out of them that was a white wheaton female.  That's my only experience with the coloration.  I assume it is a partridge coloration so perhaps columbian is technically a "white wheaton"?

I do not like talking about columbian in games. Other genotypes can give same appearance attributed to columbian because chick down does not match what is expected for columbian or one of the sexes does not agree.

Just cross them with some Columbian Rocks and it will all work out. lol

Just a small metal coffee can. No holes, charcoal you want to smolder not burn up too quick or get too hot. It really does work great. My hands have been so cold duck hunting I couldn't get the safety off the gun.
Disclaimer: do not use lump charcoal. Only briquettes. The lump charcoal turns your heater into an inferno. Although you can cook a few duck breasts on it this way with tin foil.
