I just got done. Started getting nest boxes ready.
Moved a lacy pullet to a big pen tomorrow I'll put the stag in and see if he tries to kill her. Prolly so. Also gonna split up the kelso pullets tonight and see which one is laying and put the cock in. Move a blue pullet to another pen by the other blues and put the Albany pullet in her old pen out from being with a lacy pair

Nest boxes!? Winter is just setting in around here. Gonna be dubbing birds soon and trying to keep them from freezing to death. Eggs are a long ways off and that's just fine with me.

Supposed to be nice the next 2 days but then rain on Monday and Tuesday. Snow next weekend.

Yeah we gonna be trimming soon too. I gotta be ready this breeding season right when the Albany decide to start laying gotta start hatching. I got 2 males and 2 females someone is suppose to take the cock cause he has 5 pullets so we'll have a male in each yard instead of 2 here cause that's all we got. The kelso I want to breed asap usually I won't so soon but once again he is all I have. Right now we just real low on good birds and can't be messing around

It nice to be thinking about spring! The one blue pullet is still laying, usually every other day. Today I had another one scratching around in the nest like she was thinking about laying an egg. Maybe they know something we don't this year.

Yep the grey hens vacation is about to come to an end, back to work for them. May use a couple blues too
