I hope you do better than I did with starting Elder Berry from cuttings. Only ones that ultimately survived came from cuttings I discarded.

I'm here just been tying flies. Duck season is just about over for me so I'm switching gears. Been raining nonstop for two days. Although I did have a 1.5 yr old pullet lay an egg today. Bit of a surprise

Supposed to be pretty nice here tomorrow but then the temps plummet for the next 4 or 5 days into the teens. Will have to add straw to all the pens and delouse all birds since all the little birds have showed up for the winter.

I am having a serious rabbit stampede. I thought they were knocked back more from harvesting unless they are coming in from other areas. Yesterday evening when I pulled with truck I could see at least a dozen running about in front yard alone. Many were doing the little dance. The are really going after my feed buckets. Never seen so many.

What kind of tree?

Not sure the exact variety but it's a white fig. Really big fruit but not the sweetest. But that just may be because of its location under a shaded canopy.

Here is a warning to you guys keeping games. Do not go ice skating with kids if you are an old guy. I took a fall and am all busted up. Knee is big and juicy, Either fractured or bruised some ribs on top of where some where displaced previously. For some reason it makes mixing feed by hand a real experience.

I've been busy. I hope everyone has had a good holiday.

My plucked/ bad molt hen is looking way better... after I stuck her in the cape of shame... until she finally tore it up to bad. So a few days in that did wonders. She is now refeathering nicely, the other hen is still being territorial but not doing the same damage as before, it seems her behavior is mellowed a bit. Hubby is having a lot of bad days... I hope he feels better tomorrow. Did get the kitchen bleached... except for inside fridge, I will probably do that tomorrow... vacation is best time to purge the fridge.

Good luck with that. 100 cuttings is a lot of trees. A friend of mine started some figs from cuttings and they seemed to take pretty well, so hopefully you will have the same luck. Cuttings are a hit and miss for me...
