This is the lacy after. The other pic after is the butcher afterwards.

I would not recommend wazine as it is only effective on one kind of work. VALBAZEN is most effective out of all working meds 1/2ml per chicken and then 10 days later another 1/2 ml dose orally. Hope this helps. Certain worms like capillary worms require a higher dose for longer in most other wormers. It the dose for valbazen is still the same and very safe. Can be used with corid as well.
Do you or have you ever noticed any of your birds with worms? I hear everybody worming birds every month and I thinks that's overkill by a long shot.

The butcher had a like 1/8th inch raised up still the lacy turned out great.
As for birds having worms. We butchered like 250 fibro chickens not to long and only three had worms. I go by the laying cycle of the pheasants so before there laying eggs like in December I worm all birds and then right when they are done in July august I reworm them again. If u are free ranging chickens they will have a less likely chance of getting worms but will still get them eventually. Chickens are the easiest other then quail to get diseases or worms. Pheasants hardly have worms. But I still do it twice a year. And nothing during egg production. U will have many problems with hatching chicks during a worm cycle. For example they grew to about three weeks just fine then they would start to curl there toes n not be able to walk. This was the first time this has happened to me so I know it was from the meds and then I had one wooly chicken hatch. Which I don't have wooly chickens. If the birds are on wire very unlikely u will get worms. Recommend atleast one treatment during the year. I haven't noticed the worms before but when I treat the following day I do find them. Capillary worms u will not be able to see as they are about the size of a hair thick. And are only in the throat.

I dont think I have worms in my flock... and dont deworm... just preventative DE dose to the water every month or two.

All mine are big and healthy right now... I've been feeding extra during winter time and it really makes difference in their weight. I can see and feel the difference.

Worms won't kill a chicken unless they have to much then they will. Same thing applies when working. If the bird has to many and u worm then the bird could die from a toxic overdose when the worms get excreted. Not sure if I worded that properly. I know people that don't worm but it is a good practice if u are using the right worming med. especially if u sell or give birds away. I won't sell anyone a bird unless it's been wormed. I'm sure u can understand y. Also u can put in 1.5 ml of wormed into the cup and let the trio drink the water till gone so u don't have to administer orally to all birds. Try and dose 500 birds including full grown peacocks and then resize them 10 days later. It takes so much time

The only way to sure know if a bird has worms or not is to take a fecal test for worms. Also de really isn't that effective on worms. It's a preventative by won't cure. I have a great poultry site somewhere that tells u about everything that is on the market and the pros and cons of each product let me find that and I will get back to everyone

Good to know thank you..

If I was seeing sickness and loss of weight loss in my birds I would go with some wazine or try what you recommended @birdman55 ... I try to keep things on the all natural without giong to antibiotics, dewormers, etc... unless I really need to in event of big disaster sickness..
