"novel whole genome sequence information from 21 avian genome sequences (most newly assembled) made available on an interactive browser (Evolution Highway) was analyzed... Of the species analyzed, the chicken lineage appeared to have undergone the fewest changes compared to the dinosaur ancestor."

Yes, Galliformes retain two traits likely typical Enantiornithes, slow growth bird standard and multiple flight feather sets prior to reaching mature size.

 O.K.  I  don't know much about hatching, so...can you tell me more about the first photo - looks like netting that veggies come in, what's the purpose :D

Hatching bags, and yes, veggie bags, lol... to separate varieties, lines or specific pairings...

Havoc, no joke, those pics could be my own... except my bags aren't purple...

What I look for is feeding birds work an area back and forth picking off prey as they drift through. In most instances there is what can be called "behavioral drift" where usually flying insects move with prevailing wind. Example above involved craneflies. Other examples involve winged ants, flying termites, moths and grasshoppers.
