Fall? Been tying flies?

Yeah I've been tying some up lately. Thinking about getting an actual saltwater fly rod and reel. May try it out on some stripers, bluefish, weakfish and fluke here soon.

Started using the ol spinning rod the past few weeks while I teach my son to fish. Not bad but I still do better with a flyrod. Them fish get used to seeing the same soft plastics, and lures all the time so the flies seem to work a little better for me anyway.

That purple fly is on a 1/0 hook and I hooked a bluegill on it first cast. What he was thinking going after such a big fly i have no idea lol.

Whenever is good for you. We can actually plan a trip out in advance and get it done this year.

I gotta get out I missed the spring run. Fall would be better they'll be moving up in the marsh shallows. I could take a couple weeks off. I hear stripped bass get pretty big.

Yeah that sounds good. I can take off a week and we'll Get it planned. Whenever you take off just let me know. I will too and that way I'll get a cheaper flight.
Yeah stripers get up there but pretty sure most of the bigger ones are caught further offshore. I'll be fishing from the shore around some inlets. Im off first week of June. Probably go then, see if I can get any to bite.
