Here is something for your competition thing. I am working on a cock that is being trained to fly vertically up at camera. I am trying for distance and repeat-ability. I am working on a 12 foot vertical where I want multiple performances of the feat within 15 minutes.

So wanted to inoculate things. Day one. Pink oysters.

Trio of spangled sorry but there in the two by twos for a week.

Day 3 now. Seems like they grow the best in shredded straw compared to other mediums

What do pink oysters taste like? Oysters I have are mildly toxic for me giving the buzzing lips unless well cooked.

Not sure I wanted to try and learn to grow mushrooms. So I got a couple of everything and so far the straw has been the fastest. I also got a shiitake log but it is not here yet. Straw shredded in a bag kept moist is the way to go. I can't wait to try tho. Also have blue oysters as well but there in a different medium and nothing growing by myselium
