Been slow round deez parts. Nothin happening round here first day in 11 without rain. Had to remove tarps to get the pens to dryout which they aren't yet but at least don't look like chocolate puddn. Chickens feathers are screwed looks like a bunch of orientals or phonexiseses

I had to move most of mine because of the rains and that only lasts a couple days before the pens are a muddy mess again. Normally I can rotate each pen to fresh grass.

Bummer about all that rain... Hows the smell?

I noticed resting water near chicken coops started stinking real bad. Never had that problem due to years of drought. but noticed it bad this year even though the coops are fairly clean.

yeah it blows . There wasn't no point in moving mine might as well just leave it as is. A day or two yeah but 2 weeks no point

smelled like mud. I scaled back on feed to make sure none was left

Mississippi River's high wayy above the roadway on the other side of the levee. You can see the tops of the trees in the water on the other side the levee

Both my damaged hens look like they will pull through. Appetite back. I have little doubt both will loose entire left wing through necrosis at shoulder. Legs in good working order. I am betting both will come into lay within a month. What will be interesting to see is how hens will be impacted beyond flying, balancing and keeping warm.

Nice speckled trout? Ours look a lil different but the same
It's a weakfish. Real d*mn close to specks but not the same. These tiderunner fish going over 10 lbs isn't uncommon where specks rarely get bigger than 5lbs.? I think anyway.
