No problem. If you do just give me plenty of time since I've got about 200 chickens to mess with every day too. I also only use gamakatsu, owner, tiemco, hooks. No mustad or eagle claw hooks.

Still at this point.... took down shade & umbrella before I left it.. no sun protection.

put up a bird house and planted some fig trees (in sealed buckets) last time.

Looks like the Fig trees are coming along nicely. How long does it take them to get to shade size?
Bird house is interesting, but looking at that last photo your dog has the right idea - he's in the shade!

Oh yes. Mostly trout and steelhead, but make trips to Lake Michigan for Salmon. Also lots of trips to the Outer Banks for Reds and Trout, and the Chesapeake for Rockfish.

I used to fish for trout mostly. I would go to NH and Maine every year. Mainly after landlocked salmon. I've gotten tired of driving though so lately I've just been fishing for bass locally. I've fished Idaho, Wisconsin, UP Michigan and a lot in Pennsylvania. It's been awhile since I've caught a trout.

Took me a bit of a read to get caught up... Shubin welcome back... Ravyn and Havoc thanks for the info on genetic hackle mainly curious about them & understanding how they differ... if I ever have em it will be for fun not profit, I suspect the only way to make money on that is on the large scale. Ravyn cool you have the Dwarf long tail breed way cool. SDM hi there and thanks for posting the roosters.

My dad has offered to dub mine if I ever want it done. Lol. I've never done it. He's been doing it for years. If I can't find a video on youtube, I'm not doing it. Hahaha. I gotta go get high protein feed tomorrow, since my other birds are also molting now. The silkie pen looks like a feather bed exploded and there's only 4 of them. Gotta give them some cat food until I get out of town to get new feed. The highest protein the feed store carries here is like 16%.

If I had ever gotten into chickens to make money as a business... I'd be bankrupt. Lol. I don't hatch too many, mostly just for myself. Sometimes I carry birds to auction when I don't feel like feeding them anymore, but that never turns into a load of money. Honestly thinking about getting rid of my geese and ducks. They free range and tempt the puppy to chase them. I probably won't make back what I paid for them.
