Yeah pretty much. I especially like the gimmick of putting other animals urine around to drive off pests. Wolf for coyote, coyote for fox and so on. All wild animals are wary around humans but they are already coming and killing birds. Pissing all over the place won't help. You can't hide your smell completely from most animals let alone a canine so not sure how that works. Lol

Alot of people that are just getting into chickens on THIS website more likely than not are not what would be called aware of there surroundings as in predatory animals and whatnot. Just never paid attention to anything that doesn't immediately affect them. Now they are realizing all the wild animals that live amongst them that they never paid attention to before.

When I first got back into chickens I didn't realize the amount of fox around here but I did recognize what it was that was killing

Yeah I wouldn't expect the average person to have the correct trap on hand when they run into a problem. I get all that. My issue with it all is these "experts" usually make it harder for the person to catch the animal by spraying all types of sh*t on the ground. They'll keep losing birds and wonder why.
It's just annoying
