That's awesome. Took me a long time before I caught a fish on a fly. High school I think.

I caught a fish the first day I ever used a fly rod. Granted it was about the same size as that little one and it was on a store bought beadhead nymph. Oh and it was a little sunfish out of a trout stream. Been hooked ever since. Snaring/trapping and tying flies didn't come quite so easy. It took me years to get decent at both.

I've been trying hard to get him a bass on the fly rod. He had 2 on the spinning rod this past spring but they get off on him. Lol very frustrating! One was a decent fish.

No one has ever had the choice on where they were born or what language/culture/religion/region they were raised in.

Be proud your accomplishments, not the chance that you were born in a certain place under a certain government system.
