I bump my feed up to 18% during the molt but drop it to 14-15

I've never seen anything Sdm post that wasn't first class beautiful

I mix the two roughly 3/1 and even more corn/scratch in winter so it's not 20% it's closer to 16-17% protein year round. No ill effects. I do sometimes give them layer pellets instead too.

Is it bad I've got like a 60/40 ratio? 20% layer pellet and 3way scratch for up coming winter. Were suppose to get some flurries this week.

I can't find the original pic you posted, but they were both standing like stags. The dark one looks like a stag to me.

Assuming 9.5% protein on your scratch, this 60/40 blend will give you 15.8% protein. Why not find a lower protein pellet that is balanced? A 3-way scratch is not balanced... Another way to look at it is only 60% of your diet is balanced for all nutrients.

Oh man! I wish! It's still getting up into the mid 70's here. I'm in the process of waging jihad on the stinkbugs. D*mn things were all over in my shed. needs to get cold to get rid if them.

The dark one looks like a stag. I am not sure on the lighter one. It is standing more like a stag in the top pic, but I am just not sure.
