Its about half a mile up hill to that house and when it's snow and ice it can get tricky.

Plus you sit in a tree stand butt nugget sittings sitting. My hunting house probably costed less though lol.

Lol your probably right I have 3 tree stands that were ridiculously expensive. After years of sitting on the sh*tty stands I couldn’t take it anymore. Bought the best. It’s worth it too. I hunt from the ground too. I do a fair amount of stalking which usually results in a bobbing white tail going 90 mph in the opposite direction but occasionally it works out.

Its relaxing I enjoy it quite a bit. And with these type birds there is always something to learn.

And I like the family aspect of it with the yougns hoping one takes to em like I have one of these years.

Had I known what I do now (which isn't awhole lot) I would have taken up with games to start with and never fooled with any others.

Games? Yea just a wee lad when it comes to the time involved. Wanting
Em for years. When I came on this site I had been out of chickens in general for a few moons and got some given to me etc etc got rid of everything else now I'm where I wanna be.
I've Had plenty of other breeds and breedings beforehand, nothing compares to gamefowl to me. I plan to be in it for the long haul Lord permitting. And the fellas on here aslong as you can take it and dish it out basically good ol boys have been very helpful to say the least havoc has helped tremendously more than most would expect hahaha.
