I’ve had them all over the years. Benchmade, spyderco etc. the two best pocket knives made imo are the Benchmade griptilian and the spyderco paramilitary. The only issue I have with most knives is the price. While all the new fancy Steel’s are great like s30v, it’s just not necessary for most people. Nothing dulls a blade faster than skinning out the face, skulls on furbearers and every single knife I’ve ever used has needed touching up. Most people gut and skin a few deer a year tops. A $10 mora will work just fine and will in most cases come sharper or just as sharp as knives costing 20 times as much.

I like basic Becker and condor fixed blades. 1095 and 1075 carbon steel.
I carry a few spyderco and I have a bunch of GEC knives. The great eastern cutlery knives are mostly slipjoints and most are 1095.

Yeah, we've been friends for over 30 yrs but it still sucks. He knows if I have something he needs he can come get it. Plus he picks up a couple shows of 2yr olds that I raise every year.
