The new Hatch Broodcock got out, fought a hatch and gradio, then died.
I think the gradio has a broke heel toe. All spurs in tact. I didn't lock the pen up properly. I'm a grade A dumbass.

That sucks!

get beat up? or exhaust himself?
Fought the hatch and gradio through the wire mesh round pens.

I'm just feeling really disgusted with myself right now. That mf was a pure bred Ruble winner. All the work, all the effort, time and money right down the drain....thanks to me.

I let my mentor know, he told me not to sweat it and to not let it happen again.

Ima go cry like a b*tch now

We dropping temperature from 59 F to about 10 F in roughly 12 hours. Steepest part of drop is going on now. Birds are acting odd. Even with crops close to topped off and it is nearly dark, they came down of roost as soon as they knew I was out. They were provided more and they pounded it down. Owl has neighbors pheasants riled up before dark which not typical yet.

This is at least tied for the most extreme temperature drop I have experienced. Touch of stomach flu makes it even more memorable as found I can still run. We will laugh about that tomorrow or the next day.
