I am far less patient with flighty hens. They get tossed in the yard to run loose. I have had quite a few pullets that were kinda flighty that I penned anyway and they calmed right down with a little handling every now and then. I had a few whitehackle hens I couldn’t stand. Had to put peepers on em. Took em off, back on finally just turned them loose never to be seen again after awhile. They were batshit crazy. Those are the only birds I absolutely couldn’t calm down.

Yeah seems hens are bit worse than the cocks lol. All my cock birds in hand do great.

Yeah, I was just referring to mature pullets caught wild off yard being fireballs. I had some that were hand raised, this pullet/hen would fly up to the bottom part of the door and walk over to me. She was one of the bunch the coon killed before meeting his maker. (I still miss her)

He's yours if we can arrange shipping.
That is very generous of you to offer, but I wouldn't feel right taking your daughter's pet. Would you like something small to go with him? I have a miniature Spanish cock in with a really nice half Miner/half Spanish hen. She has been laying really well and I can save a clutch to send you as long as she keeps laying.

My Radios are hardest to handle although these 2 New broodstags are very easy to pick up and handle.

The Hatch line is the easiest to handle, even the pullets and hens.

The Gradios came out just like the radios in terms of difficulty to handle.
