Man do you dub them yourself??
no I don’t someone does mine I’m not that good lolMan do you dub them yourself??
That's some clean work accompanied by some fine genetics ofcourse
Oh I am SO SORRY I was not specific there! He would be a pet/watch over my hens that I don't have yet either. Our old boy was hand raised and was an excellent rooster for our family. He was never people aggressive and took good care of our hens and even us. He once chased my pregnant mother out of the coop to protect her from the rattlesnake that had gotten in.If I may what is his purpose
He is going to help me develop a line of blue-legged grey toppy to use as broodies. On genetics side he wants to know if we are going to get any "Little Rogers" which most others would call chicks in black down. I have some explaining to do about how eggs are fertilized.any details
gotcha being in Texas maybe someone in the area may chime in. Good luck game roosters are nice to have as long as the owner knows game and other types of chickens both have feathers but that’s about all they have in commonHey all, you have some beautiful birds here, and I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask but I can't seem to find a better place. Where can I get one? I'm in Texas and would like to "buy local " I want a rooster but I want a chick. When I was a kid we had one and he was the best rooster we ever had.
I haven’t had very many breeds but of them none came close to my greys as far as commitment goes. Another fella I know that has gotten grey pullets from me for Broodies says the same thing. Blues are good too worst has probably been Kelsos BUT I haven’t had much experience with them. The ones I did would jump off the nest if I was too closeHe is going to help me develop a line of blue-legged grey toppy to use as broodies. We also had to watch closely when we introduced pullet to stag in pen to make certain she did not get damaged. My boy also is starting to ask details about what is going on when stag topped the pullet.
Pullet is a black breasted red, half toppy, with willow legs. Stag is grey brown-breasted brown red, half toppy, half blue-legged. It will take a few years to get male side stabilized but we will have a few pullets ready by fall that are close except for leg color.
