Had a hen that took 25 to 28 days to hatch a clutch. Or I do not know how to read a calendar. Still on pain meds for wisdom teeth so either possible.
Dont get addicted.

I have free range hen that acts like she is brooding every time I let a rooster out, but she isnt sitting on nest... Just trying to avoid being mated it seems

Shubin has a point man. You're basically ingesting a synthetic or semi synthetic form of heroin.

I’ve had hens take 20 days and 19 days once. I know for a fact too because I swapped their eggs. It was summer time though so it was pretty warm out. ??

Shortest incubation I had as 8 days, but not as is seems. Was during peak of 2012 drought when night time temperatures approached 90 F and highs ranged 105 to 111 F. Incubation started at lay even though hens had not yet set clutches. A clutch would hatch out over more than a week so I had to collect chicks / pipped eggs every day. I very much dread a repeat of that.
