You can only go by what the breeder you got him from says. You can't really tell by looks alone. The more experience you have with games and more people (connections) you meet you'll figure out who has what. All I can advise is to spend your money on housing and security and stuff and not too much in your first birds cause more likely than not in a few yrs you'll have learned enough to find better birds. You may have a good pair or you may not we don't know

It was 80 here today. SDM, the chicks from your miner hen and a mini blue stag were weaned yesterday @ 5 weeks. She did a nice job caring for hers and the others she adopted for a total of 22! One of her little stags must have thought he was tough stuff today as he took on a little miniature stag about 12 weeks, but about the same size. He looks a little swollen this evening, but I could tell who the other stag was by his bruising too!
