Pearl and yellow I'll get better pictures here in a few days in daylight.

If what y'all are saying is Green but I'm saying yellow then that's common with yellow legs in younger birds.
This bird had green'ish yellow legs at that age too.

Something I catch so I can stick a fescue stem up its butt prior to release so it can fly away with what is like a telephone pole coming out of our butt. They are not good people when you are on horseback. Our hogs used to come up so we could catch those critters off their backs.

What is it? Some kind of horsefly? I take pics of insects I can’t identify every day around here.

It is a horsefly, very similar to the largest we have here but something different I can not place.

I cannot even ID most of the grasshoppers.

I do try to identify mayflies some I can tell but some are more difficult. This on a floating dock of a warmwater pond.
