Anybody see the story about a NC woman who runs an animal shelter being charged for performing veterinary care without a license? Giving antibiotics and seeking pain medicine online.
Crazy’s claws n paws.
You gotta be kidding me! The whole damn state is flooded and people left dogs and cats. She takes them in and gives amoxicillin and was looking for pain medicine. God forbid she did anything without pain medicine then she’d be charged with animal cruelty! Big govt at its best. What a joke.
Apparently she had a controlled substance. You can’t make this stuff up.

If you want a real conspiracy theory, then chew on this. Big industry is beginning to invest in laboratory meat production. The same big industry is heavily vested in the grain production, processing, distribution as well as table-food marketing. When the laboratory method is refined and price comes down to compete similar products produced on the farm, then HSUS will begin a much more concerted effort going after commercial animal producers with much more zeal and have resources to do it. Somebody will benefit economically from those efforts.

There’s a lot of ethical issues there that need worked out. I can’t imagine many people being on board with that however people continue to amaze me. I guess the AR types will look at that as a win since no animals will be raised on farms. I can see it now. We will all live in high rise buildings while our food is being manufactured in labs.
These people are putting the cart before the horse. Progress at its finest.

You reaction is similar to my co-workers. The horse is catching up fast. Revolutions in agriculture like this have happened in the past. One involved the tractor, another involved fertilizers derived from the oil processing industry, then came herbicides that have been coupled with proprietary seed lines. Eventually our entire food chain will be under control of corporations that will then have exceptional control over pricing. Justification will orbit in part around feed safety.
