I think they will and some people stand to profit. Smaller producers will be cut out in a big way, especially in my state. Having a 1,000 head of cattle will not make you big once the lab production gets underway. The very rich will likely still have a preference for meat of the hoof / fin but that will become a niche market.

HSUS will get involved with that as that will be a target they can chew up more readily. Raising your own meat and eggs could easily evolve to be like current production of cannabis.

Out here they are like 'ballers'. I know a lot and they make good money and always networking and doing cool stuff. I am not one of them.

Fake meat is creepy. I dont like that idea at all. I imagine giant tanks of saline solution assembling proteins into chunks of oddly shaped flesh.
