Did you say your boss tied flies? Does he just fish for trout or saltwater?

Yes for trout. He bass fishes also but not with a fly rod

Oh ok. Yeah bass fishing with a fly rod isn’t real popular but it works.
Yeah cant go blasting through the muck and lily pads like of some of them guys do but that ain’t fun anyway. The main thing I’ve noticed is flies for bass are something new they haven’t seen.

Did you ever scroll back through the older pages? I know I’ve posted a bunch of bluegill and crappie pics with a fly rod. All you really need is a 5wt rod for trout, bluegill, and bass. I also use an 8wt but that’s for chucking flies the size of a sparrow.

@hillbilly91 have you ever caught a catfish with a lure? I’ve caught a few over the years. Usually on rooster tails but I did catch one on a hula popper. Lol I caught one a few years ago on a fly too. They were all accidental but still fun.
There’s a lot of guys that will fish for carp too. I’ve never really tried but they say it’s fun and quite difficult to land them.

I've never caught one with a lure but my friend did while I was there. We have grass carp here but I've never tryed to catch them.

A little update.
Wormy stag gained 3 ounces. More active. Looks like he gained more than 3 ozs. Tail still sags at times not all the time anymore. Gave him the second wormal pill on Friday.

Pox is making it way through though.
Got a Radio and Hatch, both penned up. Just gonna keep a close eye on them. At least it's not in the big pens where multiple stags pullets and hens are running around. Last year it got a couple stags but I isolated them and let it run its course.
