I’ve got one (not a black)that will trust fall backwards off the roost as soon as I reach for him. Swinging the whole way down. He’ll land flat on his back and keep on swinging without missing a beat.
I should take a video. It’s actually kinda funny, at first.

What was wrong with the feed?

Look at the color of the larger bass. They are supposed to be Largemouth Bass.

Well I don’t know how you’re growing them but the color can definitely vary depending on water clarity. Whether the fish are deep or in the shallows. I’m sure you know far more than me about it. I’ve caught darker we’ll colored fish up in weed beds and pretty pale colored fish that were caught in deeper water of the same lake in the same day.
