The last 3nights my McLean has been picking at the 2hens when they jump up you roost. He don't pick at them during the day, but as soon as he jumps up to roost and they try to follow he will peck at them. That only goes on for about 10 or 20min befor he let's them get up there. The 2hens sleep side by side and he is about 1ft away. Any suggestions other then move the 2hens?
If more than just two I always put multiple roosts
 
Sometimes they just need their space. As long as he is not causing any damage, they will work through their rough spot. Or, separate them.
It's not bad, just not normal. They jump down as soon as he starts, and after about 5 or so times he lets them stay
 
Seriously it’s pretty normal. At some point throughout the year I’d say every rooster I have can get a little b*tchy like that. It usually doesn’t last too long though. If it keeps happening I would probably separate him.
