Show Off Your Brahmas!

Pics
I sure hope you find some Light Brahmas at the flock swap. Are you going to let Philip breed your buff brahmas?
I might, If I don't find any light Brahmas.. But i'd like to get a buff roo for my buff pullets.. I don't think a Buff x light would sell much so i'd like to keep them pure.

I’ve never seen a buffxlight mix but I personally will keep breeding pens for my breeding stock and in my laying flock I’ll have 2 roosters for protecting the girls while they forage and if one of the hens go broody I’ll let her hatch her little muttkins

Rooster would look like this

I'd like to have a nice pasture for them to forage while not breeding.. I just don't want the breeding cocks fighting each other.. That's why I think breeding ducks would be much easier.. Drakes would have their own space since they don't fight much like the roosters and the hens would have their own space when not breeding..

OK. I see there mine are darker. So what is gold laced? Is that a generalisation?

No, that is a different color pattern entirely. Like gold laced Wyandotte. It is single lacing. The partridge are not single laced. Here is a Silver Laced Wyandotte for comparison. A gold laced is simply gold where this hen is white/silver.

Better photo of Brandy's lacing. You see it's not single laced.
