Show off your chicken names!!!

Lily, Daffodil, Lavendar and Rosemary, which have deteriorated somewhat. Lily is a rooster (who remained Lily) but Daffodil the B.O. is now "buffers,", Lavendar is "ding dong" (got to be the dumbest chicken on the planet) and Rosemary is predictably, Rosie. After naming many pets I should have remembered that pets name themselves with time...

 

[Chicken daze(d)]

We had 6 chicks and my daughters named them Butter, Cream, Ginger, Banana (who was an Australorp - all black) Chocolate and . . . Amy. I guess Amy was making cookies.

Banana, Butter and Cream went bye-bye b/c they were roos. But we picked up two more Licorice (another Australorp) and Marshmallow. I named these two, to stay consistent with the food theme.

Only my special chickens are named, there would be no way I could keep up with all the names!! (I have about 150 chickens, not counting 'other' fowl

).

The ones that do have names are:
Bertha (LF cochin hen)
Sissy (splash dutch bantam hen)
Xiang Jiao (means banana in chinese

Charlie (phoenix roo)
Fluffy (all 5 of the silkies had the same name

As for the other birds, 2 of my ducks are named Toot and Puddle, one of my quail is named Cricket, and the gooses' names are Weep-weep (cause that's what he says) and Baby goosie (cause that's what he is)

There might be a few others with names, I'll have to think about it.

ETA: We also had a Dumpling that passed (bantam cochin hen), and a Miracle that was sold (black ameraucana roo). There were a few of my dad's cockerels that were starting to be called Noodle, but they are no longer with us

Oh, and we also have a young phoenix roo that we call 'Charlie's baby', since that's what he is, so I guess that would be a name too.

ETA again: We also had a silkie roo named Brutus, but he is also no longer with us. Died of old age.
