We have just been in the chicken game a few months, started with 8, this last weekend we found 5 beautiful white and splash silkies to add to our flock, 21 total! The first 8 are named blue boy (blue cochin roo) and the other cochin roo is named Voldemort. We weren't planning on keeping him so we were calling him he who shall not be named.....but, we fell in love with him and he gets along well with everyone, so I guess we now have 2 roos! The girls are sweet pea, black cochin, Lori and Norma Rae, partridge cochins, Beauty and Jenny are the austrolorps. And the queen bee of everyone is Rusty, an odd colored austrolorp with orange markings. We recently received 8 more babies, still in the brooder, yet to be named, and the silkies, well, we are waiting to see what their personalities will be before they are named. The 8 babies are 2 stars, we were supposed to be getting golden laced wyandottes, but they were out and they sent us the stars, sigh. We also got 2 barred rocks, 2 silver laced wyandottes, and 2 more austrolorps. So looking forward to those brown eggs!
